La presente investigación se realizó en la Estación experimental El Oasis, Zacapa, con el propósito de efectuar la caracterización agromorfológica y bromatológica de cultivares de yuca, determinar su variabilidad genética, establecer el grado de similitud entre materiales y evaluar la asociación entre caracteres. La metodología consistió en un diseño látice cinco por cinco, análisis de varianza, prueba múltiple de medias, análisis de agrupamiento, correlación e intervalos de confianza para la media. Los resultados evidenciaron variabilidad genética inter e intracultivar, un 96 % de los cultivares superó el contenido mínimo de almidón y se identificaron cinco cultivares con mayor potencial para programas de mejoramiento genético. |
