La presente investigación se realizó en los municipios de Taxisco, Guazacapán y Chiquimulilla, con el objetivo de diagnosticar la situación actual de la comercialización de la piña (Ananas comosus Merr.). La metodología empleada consistió en la recopilación y análisis de información socioeconómica y comercial mediante encuestas dirigidas a productores, intermediarios y comerciantes, evaluando canales de distribución, costos, precios y márgenes de comercialización. Se analizaron además los sistemas de transporte, almacenamiento y condiciones de mercado predominantes en la región. Los resultados evidenciaron deficiencias en la organización comercial, dependencia de intermediarios y variabilidad en los precios de venta, factores que incidieron directamente en la rentabilidad obtenida por los productores de piña. |
