La presente investigación se realizó en el municipio de Chimaltenango, Guatemala, a 2,000 m.s.n.m., evaluando la inhibición de la brotación en tubérculos de papa variedad Loman mediante irradiación gamma con cobalto-60 (4, 6, 8, 10 y 12 Krad) y el inhibidor químico IPC, bajo dos épocas de aplicación y condiciones de luz. Se empleó un diseño multifactorial completamente al azar con tres repeticiones, análisis de varianza y regresión. Los resultados evidenciaron que dosis de 8, 10 y 12 Krad inhibieron irreversiblemente la brotación, reduciendo pérdidas de peso y manteniendo la calidad, mientras dosis menores e IPC mostraron comportamiento similar al testigo. |
