La presente investigación evaluó el almacenamiento de frijol negro (Phaseolus vulgaris) mediante silos familiares Tipo Guatemala y sacos en bodegas abiertas, con el propósito de reducir el deterioro físico y fisiológico del grano. La metodología consistió en comparar ambos sistemas bajo distintos contenidos de humedad y dosis de fosfuro de hidrógeno para control de insectos. Los resultados mostraron que en silos el tiempo de cocción aumentó en promedio 12 minutos y la germinación disminuyó 28.47%, mientras en bodega el tiempo de cocción aumentó 50 minutos y la germinación se redujo 65%. El mejor tratamiento correspondió a grano con 12% de humedad y dos pastillas de fosfuro |
