La presente investigación se realizó en plantaciones bananeras del distrito de Bobos, Morales, Izabal, con el objetivo de determinar taxonómicamente las malezas asociadas al cultivo de banano (Musa sp.) hospedantes de nematodos fitoparásitos. Se utilizó el método del área mínima para el muestreo de malezas, complementado con análisis de densidad, cobertura y frecuencia, identificación botánica en herbario y extracción de nematodos mediante los métodos de licuado-tamizado e incubación. Los resultados identificaron 38 especies de malezas hospedantes de Radopholus similis, Helicotylenchus spp., Meloidogyne spp. y Pratylenchus spp., destacando Piper peltatum con la mayor infestación, sin diferencias significativas entre plantaciones con y sin malezas. |
