La presente investigación se realizó en las localidades de Tecpán Guatemala y Chimaltenango, departamento de Chimaltenango, con el objetivo de evaluar la efectividad de seis fungicidas, aplicados solos y en alternancia a diferentes intervalos, para el control del tizón tardío de la papa (Phytophthora infestans), así como establecer su rentabilidad y la relación entre las condiciones climáticas y la severidad de la enfermedad. La metodología consistió en un diseño de bloques completos al azar con 12 tratamientos y cuatro repeticiones, evaluando infección en hojas, brotes, tallos y rendimiento. Los resultados demostraron que el tratamiento con Mancozeb, aplicado cada ocho días, proporcionó el mayor control de la enfermedad y los mejores beneficios económicos, mientras que la correlación entre las variables climáticas y la severidad del tizón tardío fue baja. |
