La presente investigación se realizó en la zona ecológica Bosque Húmedo Montano Bajo Subtropical del departamento de Chimaltenango, Guatemala, con el objetivo de evaluar el crecimiento de Eucalyptus citriodora, Eucalyptus maculata, Alnus arguta y Grevillea robusta mediante reforestación tradicional y el sistema Taungya, asociados y no asociados con maíz y frijol. Se efectuaron cinco mediciones periódicas de sobrevivencia, altura, diámetro basal y diámetro de copa, complementadas con análisis de varianza y modelos de regresión. Los resultados evidenciaron sobrevivencia entre 86 y 100 %, mayor crecimiento en Grevillea robusta y reducción significativa de los costos de establecimiento mediante el sistema Taungya. |
