La presente investigación se realizó en la comunidad de la Finca Nacional La Colonia, Cobán, Alta Verapaz, con el objetivo de evaluar el rendimiento foliar de cuatro cultivares de bledo (Amaranthus spp.). La metodología empleó un diseño experimental de bloques al azar con cuatro tratamientos y cinco repeticiones, evaluando altura de planta, número de hojas, área foliar, rendimiento bruto y neto, materia seca y composición química en cosechas efectuadas a los 10, 20, 30 y 40 días después de la emergencia. Los resultados mostraron que los mayores rendimientos foliares se obtuvieron a los 40 días de corte; el cultivar 637 (Amaranthus caudatus) presentó el mejor desempeño, alcanzando 1,844 kg/ha de materia verde y 61.42 kg/ha de proteína, mientras que todos los materiales mostraron adecuada palatabilidad y comportamiento agronómico similar. |
