La presente investigación se realizó en la Unidad docente productiva de la Finca Sabana Grande, ubicada en Escuintla, con el objetivo de evaluar agroeconómicamente la asociación de frijol (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) y caña de azúcar (Saccharum officinarum L.). Se empleó una metodología experimental orientada al análisis comparativo de variables agronómicas y económicas del sistema asociado, considerando rendimientos, costos de producción e ingresos generados. Los resultados evidenciaron el comportamiento productivo de ambos cultivos bajo condiciones de asociación, permitiendo cuantificar la eficiencia en el uso del suelo y la rentabilidad del sistema. Asimismo, se obtuvieron indicadores económicos que facilitaron la valoración del potencial productivo y financiero de esta alternativa agrícola en las condiciones evaluadas. |
