La presente investigación se realizó en la Estación experimental del ICTA en Cuyuta, durante el período de junio a octubre de 1983, con el objetivo de determinar la mejor combinación de insecticidas para la protección del maíz, el tiempo de protección a la plántula y el criterio más eficiente de aplicación foliar. Se evaluaron cuatro insecticidas tratadores de semilla, cuatro insecticidas granulados aplicados al suelo y tres criterios de aplicación foliar, mediante un diseño experimental de parcelas divididas en bloques completos al azar con cuatro repeticiones. Los resultados indicaron que, sin tratamiento, la pérdida de plantas alcanzó 15%, mientras que PROMET 800 SCO redujo las pérdidas a 2% y brindó protección sistémica al follaje hasta 27 días después de la siembra. |
