La presente investigación se realizó en el valle de La Fragua, departamento de Zacapa, específicamente en el centro de producción El Oasis de la unidad de riego Llano de Piedras, con el objetivo de evaluar el efecto de diferentes frecuencias de riego sobre el rendimiento del tomate y verificar la adaptabilidad de métodos para estimar la evapotranspiración. Se utilizó un diseño de bloques al azar con cuatro repeticiones y frecuencias de riego de 8, 12, 16, 20 y 24 días. Se evaluaron variables productivas, calidad industrial del fruto y consumo de humedad del suelo. Los resultados mostraron mayores rendimientos con riegos cada ocho días, diferencias en evapotranspiración según humedad disponible y mejor ajuste de los métodos Hargreaves, Blaney-Criddle y tanque evaporímetro bajo distintas condiciones hídricas. |
