La presente investigación se realizó con el objetivo de efectuar la caracterización preliminar de 16 muestras de bledo (Amaranthus) procedentes de las regiones occidente, centro y oriente de Guatemala. Se empleó una metodología experimental basada en la evaluación morfológica y agronómica de los materiales recolectados, utilizando descriptores de crecimiento, desarrollo vegetativo y características reproductivas. Los datos obtenidos fueron analizados mediante procedimientos estadísticos comparativos para determinar la variabilidad existente entre muestras. Los resultados evidenciaron diferencias significativas en características fenotípicas y productivas, identificándose materiales con mayor adaptación y potencial agronómico. Asimismo, se estableció una amplia variabilidad genética entre las accesiones evaluadas, constituyendo una base importante para futuros programas de conservación y mejoramiento vegetal. |
