La presente investigación se realizó en la Dirección General de Energía Nuclear del Ministerio de Energía y Minas y en parcelas experimentales establecidas para las generaciones M₁, M₂ y M₃, con el objetivo de evaluar la inducción de mutaciones en frijol común (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) mediante irradiación con rayos gamma de Co-60 en dosis de 0, 8, 15, 20 y 30 kR, utilizando las variedades Jutiapán y San Martín. Se aplicó un diseño de bloques al azar y se evaluaron parámetros fisiológicos, anatómicos, morfológicos y contenido proteínico. Los resultados mostraron reducción en altura, floración, emergencia y peso de semillas a dosis altas, mayor sensibilidad mutagénica en Jutiapán y variación proteínica entre 16% y 26% en materiales irradiados. |
