La presente investigación se realizó en la Unidad de Riego Laguna El Hoyo, ubicada en el Valle de Monjas, departamento de Jalapa, con el objetivo de optimizar el riego por surcos en el cultivo de tomate. La metodología utilizada comprendió evaluaciones de campo con tres pendientes (0.25, 0.50 y 0.75%) y tres caudales no erosivos (0.85, 1.25 y 2.50 L/s), determinando infiltración, lámina aplicada, tiempo de avance y longitud máxima de surco. Los resultados establecieron longitudes óptimas de 125, 137 y 158 m, respectivamente, recomendándose un caudal de 2.50 L/s, lámina de 7 cm y tiempos de aplicación técnicamente eficientes. |
