La presente investigación se realizó en la Estación Experimental Cuyuta, ubicada en Masagua, departamento de Escuintla, con germoplasma de chipilín recolectado en la vertiente del Pacífico de Guatemala. La metodología utilizada comprendió la caracterización agronómica y botánica de 12 materiales bajo diseño látice 4 x 3 con tres repeticiones, análisis bromatológico y evaluación estadística mediante análisis de varianza, prueba de Duncan y análisis Cluster. Los resultados evidenciaron variabilidad genética significativa, identificándose materiales sobresalientes procedentes de Pueblo Nuevo Viñas y Moyuta, además de alta calidad nutricional y grupos de precocidad diferenciados. |
