La presente investigación se realizó en áreas cultivadas con caña de azúcar en Guatemala, con el objetivo de comparar once métodos para determinar el grado de control de malezas mediante la evaluación de seis herbicidas en caña de azúcar (Saccharum officinarum L.). La metodología utilizada consistió en ensayos de campo con diseño experimental, aplicación de tratamientos herbicidas y utilización de once procedimientos de medición basados en cobertura, densidad, biomasa y apreciación visual de malezas. Los resultados evidenciaron diferencias en precisión y sensibilidad entre métodos de evaluación, así como variación en la eficacia de los herbicidas probados, identificándose procedimientos más consistentes para estimar el control de malezas en el cultivo. |
