La presente investigación se realizó en Amatitlán, departamento de Guatemala, y Cuyuta, departamento de Escuintla, con el propósito de evaluar modalidades técnicas del injerto de púa lateral en mango (Mangifera indica L.). La metodología utilizada consistió en un experimento factorial en bloques al azar con tres repeticiones, considerando tipo de cubierta, tipo de vendaje y condición del portainjerto. Los resultados indicaron que en Amatitlán las condiciones ambientales limitaron la cicatrización del injerto, obteniéndose bajos porcentajes de prendimiento. En Cuyuta se registraron mayores porcentajes de prendimiento, destacando tratamientos con portainjertos decapitados, vendaje completo y mejores respuestas bajo condiciones ambientales favorables. |
