La presente investigación se realizó en el departamento de Retalhuleu, Guatemala, con el objetivo de identificar especies del género Anastrepha, sus enemigos naturales y su preferencia por diferentes variedades de mango. La metodología utilizada consistió en muestreos sistemáticos en plantaciones y huertos, recolección de frutos infestados, instalación de trampas y crianza de especímenes en laboratorio para su identificación taxonómica y registro de parasitoides asociados. Los resultados evidenciaron la presencia de varias especies de Anastrepha con distinta incidencia según variedad evaluada, así como enemigos naturales nativos con potencial para control biológico, observándose diferencias significativas en los niveles de infestación entre cultivares de mango. |
