La presente investigación se realizó en la cuenca del Zanjón Malena, con el objetivo de efectuar el mapeo y clasificación de suelos a nivel de semidetalle. La metodología consistió en levantamientos de campo mediante calicatas, descripción morfológica de perfiles y análisis físico-químicos de laboratorio, apoyados en sistemas de clasificación taxonómica y elaboración cartográfica. Se evaluaron variables como textura, estructura, profundidad, drenaje, pH y fertilidad. Los resultados permitieron identificar y delimitar unidades de suelo con variabilidad en sus características, estableciendo su distribución espacial y diferenciando su aptitud de uso para fines agrícolas y de manejo sostenible.
