La presente investigación se realizó en el municipio de Jalpatagua, departamento de Jutiapa, Guatemala, en un área aproximada de 2,291.13 hectáreas situada a 557 m s. n. m., con el propósito de efectuar un estudio agrológico con fines de riego. La metodología comprendió fases de gabinete, campo y laboratorio, incluyendo recopilación de información cartográfica y fotográfica, interpretación de fotografías aéreas, establecimiento de calicatas de 1×1×1 m, muestreo de suelos y aguas, y análisis físicos y químicos conforme a normas del United States Bureau of Reclamation. Los resultados permitieron clasificar los suelos en clases agrológicas y determinar que el agua analizada presentó buena calidad y aptitud para riego agrícola. |
