La presente investigación se realizó en el altiplano occidental de Guatemala, el objetivo fue evaluar la efectividad de inhibidores de brotación en papa almacenada para consumo. La metodología consistió en el establecimiento de silos rústicos de pila utilizando la variedad Tollocan y los inhibidores Prophan (Isopropyl-N-Phenylcarbamato) y Sprout Nip® (Isopropyl-m-Chlorocarbonilate), bajo un diseño completamente al azar con cuatro repeticiones y un testigo sin inhibidor, durante 128 días de almacenamiento. Los resultados indicaron que el Isopropyl-m-Chlorocarbonilate presentó mayor efectividad en la conservación de calidad, superando al almacenamiento sin inhibidor. |
