La presente investigación se realizó en el valle Los Cerritos, Sansare, departamento de El Progreso, con el objetivo de clasificar y mapear detalladamente los suelos del área. La metodología incluyó recopilación de información del recurso suelo, fotointerpretación para delimitar unidades, verificación de campo mediante calicatas representativas y análisis físico-químicos de muestras de cada horizonte, posteriormente clasificadas según los sistemas taxonómico y agrológico del USDA. Los resultados identificaron nueve unidades de suelo distribuidas en clases agrológicas II, III, IV, VI y VII, determinadas por limitantes de textura, profundidad, pendiente y pedregosidad, con predominio de las clases III y II que abarcaron la mayor proporción del área total estudiada. |
