La presente investigación se realizó en el parque Las Ninfas ubicado en Amatilan, Guatemala; con el objetivo de evaluar la sobrevivencia inicial de Eucalyptus saligna Smith bajo diferentes materiales de trasplante. La metodología comprendió el establecimiento de un ensayo comparativo, en el cual se utilizaron distintos tipos de material de trasplante, evaluando la sobrevivencia y crecimiento de E. saligna utilizando seis tipos de plantas de vivero y tres tratamientos al suelo, durante el periodido de mayo a julio 1981. Se evaluó la sobrevivencia de la planta en sus distintos tratamientos y se midió el crecimiento de la especie forestal en función del diámetro, altura y número de brotes. Los resultados muestran que la planta de bolsa, tanto sin aplicación de azúcar como con aplicación de azúcar al follaje presentó el mayor porcentaje de sobrevivencia el cual fue de 86%. |
