La presente investigación se desarrolló en la ciudad capital de Guatemala, con el objetivo de diagnosticar la situación actual de la comercialización del aguacate (Persea americana). Se aplicó una metodología que incluyó encuestas y entrevistas a productores, intermediarios y comerciantes, recopilación de información de mercados mayoristas y minoristas, y análisis descriptivo de precios, volúmenes y canales de distribución. Los resultados permitieron caracterizar los sistemas de comercialización existentes, identificar los principales actores de la cadena, las modalidades de transporte y almacenamiento, así como las variaciones estacionales en oferta y demanda. Asimismo, se determinaron los factores técnicos y económicos que incidieron en la dinámica comercial del aguacate. |
