La presente investigación se desarrolló en el contexto del sector agropecuario guatemalteco con el propósito de analizar el papel de la extensión agrícola en el desarrollo agrícola nacional. Se empleó una metodología descriptiva y analítica basada en revisión documental, entrevistas a técnicos y productores, y evaluación de programas de asistencia. Los resultados mostraron que la extensión agrícola influyó positivamente en la adopción de tecnologías, el fortalecimiento de capacidades productivas y la mejora de la gestión de fincas, aunque persisten limitaciones institucionales y de cobertura. El estudio destacó la necesidad de modelos de extensión más integrales, participativos y orientados a la sostenibilidad. |
