La presente investigación se realizó en las unidades de riego de Catarina y Nica, ubicadas en el departamento de San Marcos, con el propósito de evaluar el rendimiento y la adaptación de diferentes materiales de frijol (Phaseolus vulgaris). El estudio empleó un diseño experimental con bloques completos al azar, considerando varios genotipos y registrando variables agronómicas como días a floración, altura de planta, número de vainas por planta, peso de cien semillas y rendimiento por hectárea. Los resultados evidenciaron diferencias significativas entre los materiales evaluados, identificándose genotipos con mayor estabilidad productiva y mejor comportamiento bajo las condiciones de riego de ambas localidades. Asimismo, se determinaron las unidades de riego con mayor potencial para la producción eficiente del cultivo, aportando información útil para la selección de variedades mejor adaptadas a los sistemas agrícolas de la región. |
