La presente investigación se realizó en diez municipios del departamento de Chimaltenango y evaluó la calidad y sanidad de 26 variedades de frijol criollo. Utilizó un análisis físico, fisiológico y fitopatológico que integró pruebas de pureza, germinación y detección de patógenos, lo que permitió comparar el comportamiento de cada variedad. Los resultados mostraron variabilidad en tamaño, color y vigor, además de la presencia diferencial de hongos asociados a semillas, por lo que se identificaron materiales con buena calidad y menor incidencia sanitaria, así como otros con limitaciones que requieren manejo o selección. |
