La presente investigación se realizó con el objetivo de analizar las consideraciones ecológicas preliminares sobre la adaptación y desarrollo del cultivo del higuerillo (Ricinus communis L.) en Guatemala. El estudio se llevó a cabo en diferentes zonas agroecológicas del país, evaluando factores climáticos, edáficos y fisiológicos que influyen en el crecimiento y rendimiento del cultivo. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo experimental y descriptiva, mediante la observación de parcelas de ensayo y análisis de suelos. Los resultados mostraron que el higuerillo presenta buena adaptación en áreas con clima cálido y suelos de textura media, mostrando potencial para diversificación agrícola y producción de aceite vegetal. |
