La presente investigación se realizó en Guatemala con el objetivo de evaluar el efecto de varias dosis de insecticidas en el almacenamiento de grano y semilla de maíz (Zea mays L.) para el control del gorgojo (Sitophilus oryzae). Se utilizó un diseño experimental completamente al azar con diferentes dosis y tipos de insecticidas aplicados a los granos almacenados. Se evaluaron variables como porcentaje de infestación, pérdida de peso y viabilidad de la semilla. Los resultados mostraron que las dosis intermedias y altas redujeron significativamente la infestación y las pérdidas, manteniendo la calidad del grano y la germinación de la semilla durante el almacenamiento. |
