La presente investigación se realizó en el área experimental de la Facultad de Agronomía de la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, con el objetivo de evaluar variedades e híbridos precoces de maíz (Zea mays L.) seleccionados bajo condiciones limitadas de humedad. Se utilizó un diseño de bloques completamente al azar con diferentes genotipos de maíz, evaluando variables como altura de planta, número de mazorcas por planta, peso de mazorca y rendimiento total. Los resultados indicaron diferencias significativas entre variedades e híbridos, destacando aquellos con mayor tolerancia a la sequía, que presentaron mejor rendimiento y estabilidad en condiciones de estrés hídrico, lo que permitió identificar materiales adaptados a ambientes con disponibilidad limitada de agua. |
