La presente investigación se desarrolló en San Jerónimo, Baja Verapaz, Guatemala, con el propósito de evaluar el potencial productivo de la cebolla como alternativa dentro del Programa de Diversificación Agrícola. Se empleó una metodología descriptiva y de observación de campo, analizando las condiciones edafoclimáticas y las prácticas de cultivo utilizadas por productores locales. Los resultados evidenciaron que la zona presentaba características agroecológicas favorables para el desarrollo del cultivo, lo que la posicionó como una región con alta capacidad productiva y potencial económico, contribuyendo al fortalecimiento de la diversificación agrícola y a la generación de ingresos para pequeños productores. |
