La presente investigación se desarrolló con el propósito de analizar la viabilidad de una Reforma Agraria en Guatemala a través de programas de crédito para la compra de tierras. Se identificó como problema principal la desigual distribución de la tierra, concentrada en pocas manos, lo que ha generado un marcado latifundismo y profundas desigualdades sociales desde la época colonial. El estudio tomó como caso el programa de la Fundación del Centavo, orientado a facilitar el acceso a la tierra mediante créditos a grupos campesinos organizados. Se evaluó su impacto en el desarrollo socioeconómico y político de los beneficiarios, así como su capacidad empresarial. Los resultados pretendieron determinar si esta alternativa, basada en la redistribución voluntaria de tierras, puede constituir una vía efectiva y constitucional para impulsar una reforma agraria nacional. |
