| Summary, etc | La presente investigación se desarrolló en la Finca San Miguel Río Abajo, Sanarate, El Progreso, en el período de mayo 2010 a abril 2011. En ese tiempo se documentó y analizó la riqueza florística del bosque seco, la dinámica y la estructura de la vegetación. El área de estudio se localiza en Latitud. 14°48'0" N a 14°52'0" N y en Longitud. 90°20'0"O a 90°15'0" O. Se delimitaron 12 transectos, en 3 unidades de muestreo basados en el estado de conservación de la vegetación, las cuales totalizan un área de estudio de 3.756 km². Estos se colectaron durante 12 meses, todas las especies en floración o fructificación, de las cuales fueron determinadas 290 especies en 83 familias, colectándose 925 números de registro de herbario. La mayor floración y fructificación de la vegetación se presentó en el mes de julio con 83 especies, mientras que en febrero la floración y fructificación de la vegetación solamente se determinaron 19 especies. Las especies más frecuentes en el bosque bajo caducifolio bajo estudio son: las arbóreas, Ardisia paschalis Donn. Sm., Alvaradoa amorphoides Liebm., Byrsonima crassifolia (L.) Kunth, Tecoma stans (L.) Juss. ex Kunth, Sickingia salvadorensis (Standl.) Standl., Pistacia mexicana Kunth. Los arbustos, Aphelandra scabra (Vahl.) Sm., Chiococca alba (L.) Hitchc., Euphorbia leucocephala Lotsy, Eugenia sp., Psychotria erythrocarpa Schltdl., Psychotria ferruginea Baker. Las herbáceas; Adiantum sp., Bidens squarrosa Kunth, Calea trichotoma Donn., Hechtia guatemalensis Mez., Hibiscus sp., Heliotropium angiospermum Murray, Heliotropium rufipilum (Benth.) I.M. Johns., Perezia nudicaulis A. Gray, Senecio deppeanus Hemsl., Simsia sp., Lantana camara L., Lippia salamensis Loes. Las epífitas; Tillandsia caput-medusae E. Morren, Tillandsia pseudobaileyi C.S. Gardner, Tillandsia fasciculata Sw. Las lianas varias especies del género Ipomoea y la planta parásita, Psittacanthus calyculatus (DC.) G. Don. |
