| Summary, etc | La presente investigación se realizó en la Aldea San Juan Acul, Santa María Nebaj Departamento de Quiché, la cual se encuentra integrada en tres capítulos, el primero es el diagnóstico de la aldea San Juan Acul del municipio de Nebaj, departamento de Quiché el cual fue realizado durante el mes de agosto a noviembre 2009, como requisito del Ejercicio Profesional Supervisado –EPSA-, en coordinación con la Municipalidad de Santa María Nebaj, el cual contiene información general de lugar. Como objetivo general se realizó la investigación titulada EVALUACIÓN AGRONÓMICA DE CINCO HÍBRIDOS DE ROSA (Rosa sp), EN SU PRIMER AÑO DE PRODUCCIÓN, BAJO LAS CONDICIONES DE LA ALDEA SAN JUAN ACUL, SANTA MARÍA NEBAJ, EL QUICHÉ. En esta se evaluaron 10 híbridos con la finalidad de establecer su adaptabilidad a las condiciones climáticas y edáficas del lugar en su primer año de producción. Dentro de las variables de respuesta estudiadas están, longitud de botón, diámetro de botón, tamaño de flor, largo de tallo, tamaño de planta, forma de botón, forma de flor. Estos materiales fueron obtenidos a través de la empresa Jackson & Perkins. Quienes los proporcionaron para la ejecución de la investigación. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que los materiales evaluados se adaptaron bien a la región en su primer año de producción y fueron bien aceptados por los compradores del mercado local. Dentro de los materiales que presentaron las mejores características están el hibrido Kiko y Vendela, materiales que quedan recomendados a los agricultores en la comunidad para que inicien su cultivo. La investigación ayudará a que los agricultores tengan otra alternativa de siembra y puedan mejorar la diversificación de sus cultivos. |
