| Summary, etc | La presente investigación se realizó en el Ingenio La Unión, mediante el diagnóstico se estableció la alta presión de la maleza Caminadora (R. cochinchinensis) en algunas zonas del ingenio especialmente en áreas sin riego y con suelo arcilloso, por lo que se realizó la investigación de opciones químicas para el control de esta maleza en Caña de Azúcar (S. officinarum), en áreas sin riego, evaluando herbicidas que se pueden utilizar en verano sin tener en el suelo humedad a capacidad de campo. Entre las variables que se evaluaron está el porcentaje de control (PC) y de esta se calcularon los días control, observándose diferencias significativas entre los diferentes tratamientos por lo que se realizó una prueba de comparación múltiple de medias (Tukey) en la cual se encontraron dos tratamientos muy efectivos, MSMA + Tótem 72 SL (1.0 + 1.14 lt/ha) y Finale 15 SL + Gesapax 50 SC (0.75 + 1.0 lt/ha), debido a que presentaron un mayor porcentaje de control (> 80 %) y mayor días control 40 y 42 días respectivamente, así como un menor costo días control. Se realizó una investigación con dos ensayos evaluando el efecto de subsolar en el grado de compactación del suelo, en un suelo arcilloso en el cultivo de caña de azúcar S. officinarum (Soca). Después del paso del subsolador el grado de compactación en ambos ensayos disminuyo significativamente porque en las primeras pulgadas del suelo, los valores de resistencia a la penetración están en un rango bajo de compactación 25,193.79 a 31,937.22 kg/m2 (35.75 a 45.37 lbs/plg2). |
