La presente investigación se realizó en Cuyuta, Escuintla, Guatemala, y empleó un enfoque experimental para evaluar el control de malezas en el cultivo de arroz de inundación. Se probaron once herbicidas con el fin de determinar su efectividad, fitotoxicidad y efecto en el rendimiento del cultivo. Los resultados mostraron que el uso de herbicidas constituye una alternativa viable para reducir la competencia de malezas, evitar el incremento de plagas y enfermedades, y mejorar la productividad, contribuyendo así a enfrentar la creciente demanda de alimentos en el país. |
