| Summary, etc | La presente investigación se realizó en la unidad de riego El Tempisque, Guatemala, con el objetivo de aportar datos a la línea de investigación sobre relaciones agua-suelo-planta. Se seleccionó el cultivo de maíz, específicamente el híbrido H-3, por su importancia en la zona, y se analizó la influencia de cuatro niveles mínimos de humedad aprovechable en el suelo (80, 60, 40 y 20%) sobre el desarrollo de la planta y la producción de grano. La metodología incluyó la medición del número de riegos y la lámina de agua aplicada. Los resultados permitieron determinar el régimen de humedad adecuado para optimizar el uso del agua y maximizar la producción. |
