La investigación se desarrolló en la región sur-oriente del país con el propósito de contribuir a la solución del problema alimentario mediante el estudio de la soya como fuente accesible de proteína vegetal. Se evaluaron 21 variedades bajo sistemas tradicionales, considerando rendimiento, contenido de proteína y aceite por unidad de área. El estudio planteó la urgencia de contar con alimentos de bajo costo para combatir la desnutrición y resaltó la necesidad de un programa formal de investigaciones que permita introducir y utilizar la soya de manera efectiva, respetando los procesos y experiencias de las tecnologías tradicionales. |
