La presente investigación se llevó a cabo en el Valle de Monjas, Guatemala, con el objetivo de determinar las fechas de siembra más adecuadas para seis variedades comerciales de frijol (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Se aplicó el método científico experimental y estadístico, analizando la precipitación pluvial de un período de ocho años y correlacionándola con las curvas de crecimiento de las variedades estudiadas. Los resultados demostraron que la fecha de siembra influyó directamente en el rendimiento del cultivo, permitiendo establecer momentos óptimos que favorecen una mayor producción, mejor uso de recursos y reducción de costos, contribuyendo así a cubrir la demanda local. |
