La presente investigación se realizó en la Unidad de Riego 3-3 San Cristóbal Acasaguastlán, en el departamento de El Progreso, Guatemala, con el objetivo de determinar el intervalo de riego y la dosis adecuada de lámina de agua para el cultivo de maíz (Zea mays L., híbrido H-5). Se empleó el método científico experimental, aplicando cuatro tratamientos basados en el Método de Christiansen, considerado el más apropiado para calcular los requisitos hídricos de los cultivos. Los resultados evidenciaron que el tratamiento seleccionado mejoró significativamente el rendimiento en grano, optimizó el uso del agua y facilitó la operación de la unidad de riego. |
