| Summary, etc | La presente investigación se realizó en Guatemala con el propósito de analizar la problemática del endeudamiento externo en relación con el sector agrícola, utilizando el método científico aplicado al estudio socioeconómico de los préstamos otorgados por el gobierno central entre 1968 y 1974. Se planteó como objetivo general examinar dichos préstamos y, como objetivos específicos, evaluar cada uno de ellos, determinar el grado de cumplimiento de las metas planificadas para 1974 y comparar la situación socioeconómica de los beneficiarios antes y después de su implementación. Los resultados reflejaron la fuerte dependencia agrícola de productos como café, algodón y maíz, así como la lenta tasa de crecimiento estructural del sector, evidenciando la necesidad de integrar la inversión extranjera de manera complementaria con la participación estatal para impulsar un desarrollo más independiente y sostenible. |
