La presente investigación se realizó en la cuenca del río María Linda, Guatemala, utilizando el método de estudio de recursos hídricos para evaluar su uso y aprovechamiento en sistemas de riego. El trabajo se desarrolló en el marco del programa de Investigación de Recursos de Agua del Instituto Geográfico Nacional y la Escuela Regional de Ingeniería Sanitaria de la Universidad de San Carlos. Los resultados evidenciaron el potencial de la cuenca para incrementar la producción agrícola mediante un manejo técnico eficiente del recurso hídrico. |
