La presente investigación se realizó en el Caserío El Triunfo, Municipio de Santo Domingo Suchitepéquez con el apoyo de la Organización No Gubernamental –ONG Guatemala Hope, especialmente en el sector productivo y fortalecimiento institucional, con el fin de promover el desarrollo agrícola en el caserío. Mediante el diagnostico se determinó que, en el sistema de producción de ajonjolí, cuenta con insumos, mano de obra, maquinaria y la naturaleza, procesos como preparación del terreno, siembra, riego, control de malezas, plagas y enfermedades, cosecha y postcosecha. Se realizó un estudio de rentabilidad en el cual se identificó que el sistema de producción de ajonjolí es rentable debido a que el agricultor promedio obtiene 17.40 % de ganancia sobre el dinero que invierte, se identificaron las organizaciones productivas dentro del caserío como: COCODE, ONG Guatemala-Hope, comité de salud y comité de agua que ayudan al desarrollo del caserío. Se efectuó una propuesta para los agricultores que se basa en realizar una cooperativa que se encargará de la comercialización del producto final. |
