La presente investigación se realizó en la Municipalidad de Guatemala específicamente en la Escuela Taller quienes se enfocan en la inserción a la sociedad de jóvenes a través de la tecnificación en diferentes áreas como la carpintería, la herrería, la construcción, la electricidad y la jardinería. El diagnóstico aquí presentado describe el área de jardinería tomando en cuenta diversos aspectos como el área, la localización, las actividades agrícolas y las condiciones actuales del lugar. Por lo que se capacito a los jóvenes de áreas vulnerables en diferentes áreas agrícolas; se realizó la supervisión de las prácticas agrícolas; y el desarrollo de proyectos; en la fase de investigación se realizó la evaluación de sustratos para la producción de acelga (Beta vulgaris subsp. vulgaris) mediante técnicas organopónicas urbanas en la Escuela Taller Municipal. Esta técnica supone la implementación de una estrategia productiva que cumple con diversas funciones entre las que destaca el equilibrio de los ecosistemas. En virtud de lo anterior esta investigación contribuye a establecer el mejor sustrato para la aplicación de esta modalidad con base en las condiciones de la Escuela Taller y las prácticas agrícolas necesarias para el manejo del cultivo de acelga. |
