| Summary, etc | La presente investigación se realizó en las plantaciones de Zitrone, ubicada en el kilómetro 86 de la carretera que conduce de la Villa del Rancho, en San Agustín Acasaguastlan, hacia El Jícaro, en el departamento de El Progreso, mediante el diagnostico pudo establecerse que el cultivo de limón es el que más se produce en este lugar, por lo que habiendo establecido que para una buena producción debe contarse con diferentes sistemas de riego que suplan suficiente agua al cultivo, para obtener la mayor producción y la máxima utilidad posible. Debido a que el agua es un recurso natural cada vez más escaso, se hace necesaria establecer un sistema de riego por goteo, el cual dada su alta eficiencia permite colocar el agua en el área radicular de los cultivos, con nulo o mínimo desperdicio del agua, razón por la cual se presenta un diseño, instalación, operación y mantenimiento de sistemas de riego por goteo en cultivo de limón, el cual llegará a producir 1,700 frutos por año, que con manejo adecuado concentra la mayoría en los meses de diciembre a abril, cuando mejores precios se obtienen de la venta de frutos de limón. |
