| Summary, etc | La presente investigación se realizó en el Departamento de Ingeniería Agrícola, Ingenio Trinidad, Corporación San Diego, Masagua, Escuintla, Guatemala, mediante el diagnostico, pudo establecerse la necesidad de abordar la investigación enfocada a la determinación de la fase fenológica que responda de manera adecuada a la aplicación de riego, en condiciones de un suelo franco arenosos, identificando dos momentos importantes: a) Fase de elongación, debido al momento de mayor respuesta al riego y b) fase inicial o de emergencia, debidio al aumento en el porcetaje de individuos por metro lineal. Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación con la variedad CP 722086, primer corte, indican que el efecto al riego en términos de producción de toneladas de caña por hectárea es alta en suelos de la clase franco arenoso. En este ensayo, la respuesta del cultivo a la aplicación del agua fue de 38 t/ha de caña, que equivalen a un incremento del 35 % con respecto a la producción del testigo sin riego, también se evaluó la respuesta del agua a la caña variedad CP 881165, primer corte, los resultados indican que la respuesta al riego en términos de producción de caña por hectárea es alta en suelos de la clase arenosa. En este ensayo, la respuesta del cultivio a la aplicación del agua fue de 29 t/ha de caña, que equivalen a un incremento de 63% con respecto a la producción del testigo sin riego. |
